Why Can't I Download a Video from X?
If you pasted a link and received an error message like "Tweet not found" or "No media found", don't panic. Here are the 4 most common reasons and solutions.
🔒 Reason #1: Private Accounts
If the Twitter user has a Lock Icon next to their name, their tweets are "Protected".
MediaSaver respects user privacy. Due to X (Twitter) API limitations and privacy laws, we cannot access or download videos from private accounts. This is not a bug; it's a privacy feature.
Reason #2: Sensitive / Adult Content
X allows users to mark their media as "Sensitive Content" or "Adult Content". Depending on the strictness of the settings, our automated system might be blocked from fetching the video URL to prevent serving inappropriate content.
Reason #3: Incorrect Link Format
Sometimes, copying the link from a specific part of the app causes issues. Ensure your link looks like this:
https://x.com/username/status/1234567890
Solution: If you are on a "Quote Tweet", click on the video itself to open the original post, then copy that link.
Reason #4: Tweet Was Deleted
If the user deleted the tweet just seconds ago, you might still see it in your feed due to cache, but our servers cannot find it anymore.
Still having trouble?
Try clearing your browser cache or using a different browser (Chrome/Safari) to ensure it's not a local connection issue.
